Saswat Pattanayak is a media research scholar and blogger based in New York City. He has been a journalist with The Economic Times, The Asian Age and Hindustan Times. He has co-authored Knock and the Rise: the politics of Orissa Cyclone, Insight, Puri (2000). Currently he manages the media blog Whosemedia and a personal-is-political blog . Ravi Kumar teaches Sociology at Jamia Millia Islamia University (New Delhi). He has been Jt. Editor of journal Social Change and is on the Editorial Advisory Board of Journal of Critical Education Policy Studies (JCEPS).
